"'Becoming Babywise' [by Gary Ezzo] is a secular take on the fundamentalist view that babies are evil manipulative creatures. It advocates a feeding schedule that has no basis in lactation physiology, and encourages parents to ignore babies' cries so as to break their spirits. So far out of the mainstream that it has even been condemned by other Christian organizations, including the church where the program originated."
